The Commercial Window

Cleaning Case:

River Park Plaza

"River Park Plaza located in S.E. Portland had its array of accessibility challenges. Undulating slopes, height issues and manicured grounds.

Rope descent systems, lifts or ladders were not an option here. A water fed pole system in this case was the logical answer."

Water Fed Pole Systems
Safe, Efficient & Productive Exterior Window Cleaning By Crestview Window Cleaning

Owner: Stephen McMurrer

When rope descent systems, lifts, ladders or stages are not an option, water fed pole systems are the most practical method to clean high, hard to reach windows. As an operator, I stand safely on the ground, clean and rinse windows accessible up to fifty (50) feet.
The water fed pole system is an adjustable telescopic pole with a single poly vinyl hose that carries treated water through the core handles and exits through a nylon brush at its end. Standards in the water fed pole industry suggest exterior window cleanliness is met by incorporating a de-ionized water solution.

De-ionized water solution, (DI) is a reverse osmosis filtration system (note blue tank right). Water is pressurized in
a tank through a combination of positive and negative semi permeable resins that essentially dissolve all hard mineral and salt deposits. An operator of a water fed pole is subsequently capable of providing 99% pure water to agitate, clean and create a "spot free" rinse to a window.

Three Reasons to

Introduce Water Fed

Poles to Your Facility:

1. ECONOMICS
Water fed poles allow work to be completed in half the time of other standard window cleaning methods.

2. ACCESSIBILITY
Eighty percent of the buildings in the United States are 2 to 5 stories. Often landscaping, parking areas and building design do not allow proper access to glass surfaces with other forms of equipment.

3. HEIGHT OF WORK
Work is conducted up to 50 feet without the use of rope descent systems, lifts, ladders or stages.
